I became obsessed with coffee during high school.. It was my saving grace; espresso shot after espresso shot. Years later, I need about a pot of coffee each morning to function. Coffee is something I never wanted to give up, but I knew this amount wasn’t good for me, and I began looking at better options. While researching, I learned that while there are many coffee benefits, most coffee has MOLD in it! This shocked me and I immediately dug into it even more, which is where I found Purity Coffee.

Purity Coffee has a great mission in creating the most sustainable and healthy coffee for us that’s possible by focusing on organic and sustainable farms. Their coffee is high quality and ethically sourced from traceable farms. The most important part is the roasting of the coffee, Purity is focused on roasting long enough to burn off toxins, but not long enough to produce carcinogens, and after the coffee is roasted, it is tested to ensure it is free from pesticides, mold, and mycotoxins. Purity Coffee is one of the many things I buy in bulk and take back to my boat with me on every trip back to the States.

During my journey of slowing down my coffee use, I experimented with matcha and mushroom coffee. Both of which I LOVE now. During a typical week, I now drink mushroom coffee, matcha, and Purity coffee, on rotating days. I feel this has helped my body acclimate to less coffee and I have more sustained energy throughout the day.

I have tried multiple mushroom coffee brands, but EveryDay Dose has been my favorite. It contains Lion’s Mane which helps with cognition and focus, Chaga which has a high antioxidant concentration and helps with gut health, Collagen, which is fairly self-explanatory, L-Theanine which helps relieve stress, a Coffee extract which adds a little caffeine and some of the coffee taste. Everyday Dose also has a matcha powder, which includes all of these amazing ingredients, but with Matcha!
